GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in applying for funding from the Friends of Callawassie Island (FOCI). The Board meets quarterly to review grant requests (March, June, September, November).  We request that any grant requests be submitted at least two weeks in advance of our meetings.
Based on available funds, FOCI considers requests for projects that meet the following criteria:
  • A 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides services in Beaufort and/or Jasper County in the areas of education, health, hunger and social services.
  • A track record of effective leadership and project accomplishment
  • Adequate organizational funding
  • Clearly defined project planning and timeline
Selected information that we require includes:
  • Mission Statement and brief history of organization
  • Financial information including current annual budget, year-to-date financial statement, and most recent annual financial statements
  • Percentage of budget dedicated for administrative vs. direct services
  • Examples of successful projects
